THE WLR: What to What to Watch, Listen to, and Read This Week.

Watching:

Sunny on Apple TV, starring Rashida Jones, is my latest binge-worthy obsession. Based on the novel The Dark Manual by Colin O'Sullivan this recently released adaptation is a smart, witty (and a little silly) exploration of incredibly complex relationships and the intricacies of modern life. If you’re looking for equal parts dark-humor, heart, and thrill, (and also love a robot, or two) Sunny is your show! Episodes come out every Wednesday <3

Listening to:

  • Music: Diet Pepsi

    • Has Addison Rae ever released a bad song? Asking earnestly. Our pop queen’s latest single, Diet Pepsi, is a track that’s been on repeat so much so, that it’s gunning for #1 on my Spotify top 5. Diet Pepsi is a catchy pop anthem that’s both a playful, and a true testament to Rae's evolving sound and confidence as an artist. I sort of wish this was released at the peak of Summer (and also lived in a city that allowed me to have a car) because this is THE song to blast with the windows down.

  • Podcast: Upstairs Neighbors

    • If you’re looking for a podcast that feels like you’re catching up on the latest goss and pop culture with your besties, look no further than Upstairs Neighbors. Hosted by Dom Roberts and Maya Umemoto Gorman, this pod will seriously make you laugh out loud. (I could technically slot this in for ‘watching’ because I watch the episodes via YouTube more often than I ‘listen’ to it but either way, 10/10.
