3 Spots in Brooklyn to Hang Out at This Spring & Summer
As the sun sets later and later and temps continue to rise, it would feel truly heinous if we didn’t share some of our favorite spots to spend hours on end hanging out at in Brooklyn with a friend or lover. Keep reading to get your eat & drink on.
Mo's General
Nestled right in between Williamsburg and Greenpoint lives Mo’s General. Mo’s is your quintessential neighborhood spot serving up *square* slices of pizza, fresh salads, icy-cold beers and cocktails, and a range of gourmet groceries you can purchase inside. If you’ve decided to order-in, you can head up to the window on the side, and then take a seat from a selection of built-out outdoor seating. Though the seating selection isn’t massive by any means, you can definitely score a spot if you’re only with one other person, and maybe sneak a spot if you’re with a group of about 3-4 people. We love to go here all throughout Summer–it’s perfect for people watching, especially if you go on a Friday or Saturday evening and see everyone with a pack of beer in hand, scurrying along to whatever the night holds in store for them. You’re also right by McCarren, and a post-meal park stroll is always the perfect way to end a yummy meal here.

Cherry On Top
Cherry on Top is a natural wine bar located right on Suydam street in Bushwick. We discovered this spot after doing a deep dive on IG restaurant scrolling (see, not always bad!) Being a sucker for all things cherry (still), and cute usage of popular kitschy phrases, we were pretty much sold. CoT offers a range of natural wines by the glass and bottle, and light bites. On select dates, they’ll feature entertainment-centered nights which include: bingo, comedy, music, and more! This is the perfect spot to go to if you’re looking for a chill, but fun night out that feels like you did something, or just a great starting off point to keep those good vibes going. Along with a decently-sized downstairs, they also have an year-round rooftop that’s been calling our name, and soon yours too.

Bar Bête
Bar Bête is a french-inspired restaurant located in Caroll Gardens, but don’t let the initial chicness of it all intimidate you. If anything, as soon as you sit down, you’ll realize how cool and easy this spot is. Your waiter will make you feel like you’re right at home, and if you’re anything like us, you’ll order the bread and butter. Thank us later.
If you’re looking to impress a special someone, Bar Bête is seriously one of the *perfect spots* to go to on a date too. The inside is bustling, but you’re not too close to your seat neighbors that they’ll be able to hear you. The drinks will give you that perfectly leveled-out buzz (the kind that makes you knock knees with your date and giggle a lot), and if you’ve saved room, you can finish the night off with a slice of their famous yellow cake with a heaping dollop of chocolate frosting and sprinkled sea salt. Once you’ve finished your meal, we encourage you to hang out and do a little townhouse window shopping. Bon Appetit!
P.S. BB does have outdoor seating
